LEGENDS OF THE PIANO comes to THE PIER in July!

Ocean City, NJ: GREAT BALLS OF FIRE “Legends of the Piano” debuts in July at the Ocean City Music Pier. The multi media show stars piano legend Linda Gentille and features Ocean City favorite soprano Nancy Fox. The show will appear at The Pier on Thursday, July 9 at 7:30PM. GREAT BALLS OF FIRE will feature the music from the great piano legends of the last 50 years including Liberace, Roger Williams, Billy Joel, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Fats Waller, Floyd Cramer and Victor Borge. 

This spectacular new Broadway style show will include video clips depicting the rise to stardom of these great performers.  It is a chronological walk through time with these artists while the songs they made famous are performed. The video production was produced by Gentille and local producer Rob Beach.

Gentille has performed at the Music Pier yearly for the past 5 years to rave reviews and sold out crowds. This is the first show she has performed that brings in more recent piano legends such as Billy Joel and Elton John. Gentille specializes in American classic and ragtime music. Gentille says, ”I love the music of Gershwin and Porter, but wanted to develop a show that would also appeal to younger audiences. I included the old favorites from Liberace and Roger Williams, but have added the new music from Billy Joel and Elton John, which gives the show a great variety. It is a great family show for the perfect family vacation city.”

One of Ocean City’s favorite performers, Nancy Fox makes a guest appearance in the show. Nancy performed numerous times with the Ocean City Pops and her illustrious career has spanned over 30 years. She wows audience’s world wide with her great soprano voice and versatility. She will perform songs from the American Songbook.

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, “ Legends of the Piano” debuts at The Ocean City Music Pier on Thursday, July 9 at 7:30 PM. Tickets to the show are $15 for general admission. Doors will open at 6:30PM for early priority seating.
